A shared commitment

At Trasna, we share our clients' dedication to environmental responsibility and reducing our footprint on the planet. We believe in harnessing technology for positive impact, including the development of sustainable IoT solutions with recyclable components and materials. As a responsible IoT provider, we’re committed to addressing climate change and helping our customers on their journey toward greater sustainability.

Sustainable beyond compliance

Sustainability is at the core of Trasna's business strategy. To address climate change, resource depletion, and emissions, we have implemented an ISO 14001-certified environmental management system. This enables us to continually improve our ecological performance across several areas:

Circular economy

We focus on reducing, reusing, and recycling materials throughout our product lifecycle. Over the past five years, we’ve halved plastic consumption by reducing the size of customer SIM cards. Our facilities use energy-saving technologies like LED lighting and smart heating/cooling systems.

Sustainable transportation

We use fuel-efficient vehicles and optimise delivery routes to minimise emissions. By prioritising road or sea freight, optimised packing design, and advance demand planning, we cut transport costs and carbon emissions by 90%.

Responsible sourcing

We prioritise materials from ethical suppliers who adhere to environmental and social standards. We audit key suppliers to assess their waste, energy, and water management practices.

Renewable energy

We are transitioning to solar power at our sites to reduce reliance on fossil fuels and move towards energy sufficiency.

Digitisation

By digitising our supply chain and replacing physical processes with virtual alternatives, we are significantly lowering our carbon footprint. We also help clients move to digital solutions like eSIM and SoC.

Sustainable materials

We use biodegradable and recycled PVC for SIM cards, recycled paper for packaging, and eco-friendly materials in transportation. Rechargeable batteries further help reduce landfill waste.

Social sustainability

We invest in our workforce and the communities we operate in, addressing a range of social issues:

  • Employee development: We offer training, performance reviews, and mentorship to support employee growth and leadership.

  • Community engagement: We help our partners and communities become more resilient in addressing climate change. For instance, we’ve helped clients reduce their CO2 emissions by 92% and become the first in their region to offer biodegradable SIM cards.
