Understanding the challenges faced by device makers and network operators including heavy expenses, slow implementations, and a fragmented vendor landscape – Stéphane saw an opportunity to build the foundation for an alternative future for the Internet of Things. So in 2018, he established Trasna, born from a vision to harness the power of semiconductor and mobile technologies. Trasna strategically acquired Elatec (Germany) and SAFE-IoT (France), gaining crucial expertise in hardware and software and uniting some of the industry's brightest minds.
In 2023, Trasna achieved a significant milestone with the launch of its first SIM chip. That same year, it introduced its proprietary RISC-V core processor, reflecting its unwavering commitment to driving in-house innovation. The journey gained momentum in February 2024 with the acquisition of Workz, the global leader in cloud eSIM, propelling Trasna closer towards its vision of total vertical integration. Trasna now boasts a range of highly innovative products, from its core processors and microcontrollers to its multi-eSIM orchestration hub, IoT eSIM remote manager and device management platform; its portfolio emphatically addresses the market's evolving needs.
